After summer performances at Montreal's M Bar, Evolve, and with Redbull & Yukon blonde, BROTHERS are back at the Carleton for a night of celebration. This sweaty, philosophical dance party boasts an impressive and powerful lineup of local hip-hop for your head bumping needs. Up and comer Ray Reeves and his antagonists will kick off the night, followed by BROTHERS and the newly formed supergroup, Higher State; featuring Three Sheets legendary beat boxer, Eric McIntyre.

Two up and coming bands, Brothers Band & The Blue Lane, have recently taken Halifax by storm. BROTHERS is quickly climbing the performance ladder with energetic and captivating performances, bringing a blend of hip hop and and rock, with a splash of alternative and pop. The band won the Coast Award in 2016 for best new band.
The Blue Lane is an entertaining and energetic band that merges the sounds of rockabilly, jazz, blues and traditional pop music. The band blends sultry vocals, vintage feel and fancy guitar picking.

Third Rail is a 9-piece Blues band with influences from a wide range of artists such as Janis Joplin and Tracy Chapman to Ray Charles. Each member brings their own musical flavor to each song in their diverse set list. This energetic band will be sure to keep the audience singing along with blues songs from the 30’s to today.

Old Man Grant is a multi-instrumental trio from Ottawa, Ontario. Branching off from her 9 piece band, Lindsay Misiner & The 7th Mystic, Lindsay is going back to her solo roots, testing out the waters around the City, and beginning to focus more on the solidified aspect of her career, as well as getting in touch with herself by writing & discovering, as well as uncovering her capabilites as a solo artist!

In keeping with the maritime feel, we will also be auctioning off some sweet items and services from local Halifax businesses to bid on in our silent auction. Our live auction will feature some members of your very own DASSS and DSU Executives auctioning off unique (and hilarious) services with all proceeds from the event being donated to the Dalhousie Student Union Sexual Assault & Harassment phone line following its funding cut from the University. The Barrowdowns: consist of diverse instrumentation and soaring five-part vocal harmonies characterize the unique alternative folk sound of Halifax-based band. They have created an eclectic brand of folk music that is both energetic and haunting. With gripping songs that stick with you long after the last chord has rung out, The Barrowdowns create music that will keep you spellbound—even while you stomp your feet.

The time has finally come for Three Sheet to release their 3rd full length LP "Heart to Make it Perfect". The night is poised to be one of the best lineups of the summer with PEI favourites COYOTE coming to town to tear it up and Halifax's infamous group THE BROOD set to destroy the stage before anyone else even gets a chance to play. Making their grand debut at the Seahorse are Halifax's newest Rock/Hip Hop outfit BROTHERS looking to wet your ears with sharp lyrics and melodic hooks.
